Solubility and how it is affected by temperature and pressure
Most solids, liquids or gasses can be mixed with other substances and create homogenous mixtures. The most common solvent is water. Not every compound has the same potential to be soluted in a specific amount of water. There are also some factors that affect solubility such as temperature and/or pressure. In the Pacific Ocean there is a great amount of salt and other substances disolved and the different amount of it could lead to alteration of the physical properties of the ocean and the life that lives in it.
